How the $5 credit works
After a trial, if you decide to self-host the tool on your own infrastructure, your $5 fee converts to a credit. This can apply toward self-hosting guides, infrastructure setup support, or extended managed hosting (once available). The idea is simple: evaluating a tool and then using it should cost the same as just using it. You shouldn't pay a penalty for being careful.

Common billing questions
No. Each trial is a one-time $5 payment. You only pay when you launch a trial. There's no recurring charge, no account fee, and no minimum commitment.
If you complete a trial and decide to self-host or upgrade to a longer-running managed instance, your $5 trial fee converts to a credit. You never pay twice to evaluate and then use the same tool.
Extended trial options and longer managed hosting plans are coming soon. For now, the standard trial is 5 days. If you need more time, export your data and start a fresh trial.
If we can't provision your instance successfully, you're refunded in full. No questions asked.
No per-user fees during the trial. The $5 covers the instance regardless of how many accounts you create. Self-hosted after the trial is likewise free of per-user charges.
